Christina Carfora was born and raised in Wisconsin. Her parents were teachers, so summers were spent driving across the country sightseeing. Her love for travel grew over time, and her wanderlust has compelled her to visit twenty-three countries thus far. In 2010, she had the opportunity to live in Indonesia for one year. Christina’s experiences abroad inform and inspire her artwork.
Christina received her B.F.A. from the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee in Sculptural Ceramics and Art Education. She recently completed a six-month residency at the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft. In the Fall of 2014, she began attending the University of Florida to pursue a MFA degree in Ceramics.
